Hello I am currently doing a project on feminism, misogony and gender equaility as part of the project there is a requirment to find local organizations that relate to the topic area I'm aware of . Ottawa but unfortunatly as far as local female positive orgs' go that's as far as my knowledge goes. So if anyone can help me find any others that would be quite appreciated.

Maybe you should first choose a topic you can spell correctly. It might help your research efforts a little.

The Miss G__ Project:
“A group of concerned citizens working together to promote equity in education, to combat sexism and homophobia through education, and to encourage active citizenship. Miss G’s mission is to get a women’s studies course into the Ontario Secondary School Curriculum.” www.themissgproject.org - there is an active Ottawa Chapter too...

Minwaashin Lodge, Aboriginal Women’s Support Centre:
A grassroots organisation that “provides services and programs for Aboriginal women, children, and youth, who are direct and inter-generational survivors of family violence and the residential school system.” http://www.minlodge.com

(Im pretty sure they're based in Ottawa but you'll have to double check) Canadian Research Institute for the Advancement of Women:
a “research institute which provides tools to facilitate organizations taking action to advance social justice and equality for all women.” www.criaw-icref.ca

Agitate:
“A visible network for queer women of colour in Ottawa” www.geocities.com/agitate_ottawa - this website isn't updated though, and I don't know how active they are as of late...

Hail Wolstonecraft,
full of hate
Marx is with thee
blessed art thy vindication of women
and blessed are the fruits of thy mons pubis.
Holy Mary Wolstonecraft,
pray for us patriarchs
now and at the hour of gender inflected language's death

amen

lol...hey man, you had it coming...those are the rules of a punk message board and you just learned them! don't worry, we've all gotten our balls busted from time to time. if you attempt to start an intellectual conversation/thread you gotta represent. and feminism is a touchy subject so you gotta word-things very carefully if you want to receive positive feedback. do yourself a favor and put www.spellcheck.net and infoplease.com next to punkottawa on your link/favorites bar. cheers

You could drop by the Womyn's Resource Center at Ottawa U, I'm sure they could direct you towards all/any local feminist organizations.
